Cllr David Haigh, in his capacity as Mayor, attended the initial opening event for the Meltham Town Council area in conjunction with the Festival of Arts Week. This was to support events for the Holmfirth Art Week. A number of events are taking place around the Holme Valley that has been collaborated by the Holmfirth Art Week Project and has been running since 1966.
This is situated over two sites over the forthcoming week within the Meltham Town Council area, this being The Carlile Institute and The Crossroads Centre and concludes on Saturday afternoon. There are also a number of other events around the Holme Valley details of which are in the link below -:

The Meltham area was organised by our Town Councillor, Kate Buchanan with several other Town Councillors in attendance supporting the event and our Town Clerk.
Another fantastic event that continues to support our community, therefore please kindly come along to see the amazing talents of our local artists as twenty percent of the funds raised are to be donated to Kirkwood Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Research.
