The bus was crewed by our local Mayor David Haigh and past Meltham Town Council Community Achievement Award Winner Wayne Barrett with two year 10 pupils from Honley High School acting as customer assistants.
South Pennines fleet engineer also entered a mobile scarecrow called Gringo the bus mechanic who rode around and posed with passengers on the vehicle.
A good time was had by all and at the time of publication £96 had been raised for the mayor’s charity appeal in donations from passengers and staff.
The Town Mayor would like to pass on his thanks for all that were involved on the day and for the kind donations received.
