‘It was really pleasing to declare a new agricultural business open at Crosland Edge, thanks go to local resident Alan Calder and his team, whose hard work and research have paid off.
Tours of the vineyard are now bookable on the Helme Edge Vineyard website.
It was good to see the vines on our tour and to see agrarian produce being grown again in local fields.
The opening party which also included all 3 Holme Valley North District councillors sampled sparkling and still white wine and recently introduced rose, we were all impressed with the wines sampled, and on that evidence the company should have some superb wines to market, all cultivated in a somewhat challenging pennine location.
