Meltham Chess Club applied for a grant for 25 new chess clocks of which the Council agreed to. This meant the thriving club can host larger tournaments and also replace the older worn out clocks they currently have.
The pictures feature Robert Mitchell of the Chess Club, plus our Mayor Ann Jurczyszyn, Cllr Jean Wrathall and the Town Clerk Mark Brook getting soundly beaten by three of the younger hot prospects at the club, where a good afternoon of fun was had by all.
