Several of our Town Councillors attended the Picnic in the Park Event on Sunday 31st August that was organised by The Friends of Robert Ashton Memorial Park Group.
There were a number of events happening in the park where our Mayor Cllr Haigh and Councillors Barrowclough, Buchanan, Crankshaw, Jurczyszyn, Noon and Varley lent a hand on the day, with a range of local community groups and members of the public taking part.
Fortunately the weather was kind to us all and was a highly successful day demonstrating the strong community spirit within our Township.
