Several of our Town Councillors attended the Picnic in the Park Event on Saturday 30th August that was organised by The Friends of Robert Ashton Memorial Park Group and funded by Meltham Town Council.
There were a number of events happening in the park where our Mayoress Cllr Jurczyszyn, Cllr Coates, Crankshaw, Barrowclough, Jackson, Noon and Varley lent a hand on the day, with a range of local community groups and members of the public taking part.
There were a number of free activities held on the day for families, including face painting, games and sports, with additional craft stalls, information groups, wonderful classic cars, live music and the David Brown Tractors to name a few.
The weather was kind to us all for most of the day and enhanced the whole experience for all that attended, and an enjoyable day was had by all.
Meltham Town Council and The Friends of Robert Ashton Memorial Park Group would like to thank everyone that participated in making the day a great success.
